Wesley Wilson – Boys Basketball

In a pair of losses to Crystal River and Lecanto, the 6-foot-1 Wilson tossed in a combined 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and collected two steals.
The all-around athlete has competed in five sports including one year of football, one season of swimming, three years of varsity basketball, four seasons of cross country and will be participating in track and field for a fourth year following basketball. He expects to run the 1,500 meters and in the 4×800 and 4×400 relay teams.
In the classroom, Wesley has maintained a 3.6 unweighted and 4.0 weighted grade point average.
He’s enjoying his third year as a member of the prestigious National Honor Society and HHS’ Peer Inclusion Team – which helps special ed students.
As a member of Bright Futures, he’s amassed over 100 hours of community service. Wilson has participated for two years a member of Peer Inclusion Team and served as a volunteer coach during the summer basketball camps from seventh grade through his sophomore year at HHS.
Wesley, who aspires for a future in aviation, has submitted his paperwork and is awaiting word on possible admission to the US Military Academy at West Point.
