Seytia Hill – Girls Basketball

Weeki Wachee – Senior

The chameleon-like Hill helped guide the Lady Hornets to a third-place finish during the ninth Hernando Holiday Classic in Brooksville.

The 5-foot-11 Hill tallied a combined 34 points, hauled down 22 rebounds and dished seven assists in WWHS’ 2-1 run.

Seytia, in her fourth varsity season of hoops, completed her fourth season of varsity volleyball and will be throwing the shot put and discus for a fourth campaign in the spring.

On the hardwood courts, she recently surpassed collecting 1,000 career rebounds. She’s already totaled over 1,000 career points.

The All-County selection in three venues -volleyball, basketball and track and field -maintains a 3.0638 grade point average.

As part of her Bright Futures’ 100 hours of community service commitment she’s served as a coach mentoring Kindergarten and middle school-age athletes during the Weeki Wachee boys and girls basketball camps from Monday through Thursday for seven hours a day during the summer.

Hill, who has already signed with Pasco-Hernando State College to play volleyball, also served as counselor for three days during the Weeki Wachee Volleyball Camp this summer.

Seytia is a three-time state qualifier in track and field and placed at states as a freshman.

During the last three springs, Hill has served as a volunteer coach mentoring nearby Winding Waters’ track athletes in the throwing events in between practices at WWHS.
