QUOTE: “Leah had a huge year for us … She was extremely dependable … One of her biggest goals was to break 19 minutes and she achieved that in one of the biggest races of the year (regionals) … She’s a hard worker … Does a lot of cross training … Type of kid that wants to improve ,,, She’s got offers to compete in college … Wouldn’t be surprised if she competes at the next level.”

NCT’s Eric Milholland

Joel Myers

QUOTE: “She put in the work to be Runner of the Year … Obviously through her results, she’s just better than everybody else … This is not a subjective choice … I see someone who is competitive, puts the work in and performs at a high level week in and week out – that’s what separates her from so many others on Saturday mornings.”

– Weeki Wachee’s Patrick Skipper

QUOTE: “She sat out all of last year and came back and just killed it … She came back and dominated … She’s extremely talented.”

– Central’s Kris Brooks

QUOTE: “This was Keira’s best season … She stepped up her trails and improved her work ethic … Kinda kid that worked hard in practice … I thought she had a great season … I don’t think she’s gonna compete in college … It could happen … She’s a great kid to be around … Overcame a lingering Achilles (Heel) injury.”

QUOTE: “Made major improvements from the year before … Everything was predicated on being a lot more aggressive and getting out (of the races) stronger … The difference in a year was like night and day … Now she’s very capable of breaking 22 minutes … Is a great kid; comes from a great family … Next year, in her third varsity season, I expect her to take more of a leadership role on the team … I see her coming out of her shell.”
